Psi Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal
Psi Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal is a Canadian science fiction drama TV show that ran for four seasons from 1996 to 2000 and had 88 episodes. The show was filmed in and around Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Some viewers took the show a little more seriously than it was meant to be, even though it was just a made-up drama, because Dan Aykroyd started and ended each episode and talked about how real the organization it was based on was. Partly because of this, the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry, which was then called the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal, gave Aykroyd a "Snuffed Candle" award in 1997 for "contributing to the public's lack of understanding of the methods of scientific inquiry."
