Stella

From June28, 2005 until August30,2005, Comedy Central aired the short-lived television series Stella, which was developed by and starred Michael Ian Black, Michael Showalter, and David Wain, the three members of the sketch comedy trio of the same name. As a satirical group, Stella has been around since 1997. It has a devoted following and sells out events all throughout the United States. It was broadcast on Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST). Stella's time slot was taken up by Mind of Mencia in September, following the completion of ten episodes. When Stella's official website went live on March8,2006, this statement was posted: "This summer, Comedy Central aired the STELLA series. The network has made it clear that it will not be returning for a third season "the show has been effectively canceled On September12,2006, the DVD for the first season of the show was released. There are also some episodes on iTunes and Hulu, as well as on Joost. In Australia, Stella debuted on May 3, 2007, on The Comedy Channel.
