The X Factor

The X Factor is a British tv music competition to discover brand new singing talent, contested by singers drawn from public auditions. Created by Simon Cowell, the show has since aired from August/September through to December and began in September 2004. The show is made by the Thames and Cowell's production company SYCOtv of FremantleMedia. It is broadcast on TV3 in Ireland and also the ITV network in the Uk . It is the originator of this The x-factor franchise. The X Factor was first invented as a replacement for the highly successful Pop Idol, that had been placed on indefinite hiatus after its next show, chiefly because Cowell, that had been a judge on Pop Idol, wished to launch a new show on he possessed the tv rights. The perceived similarity between both shows became the subject of a dispute. The"X Factor" of the title refers to this undefinable"something" that makes for celebrity quality. The judging panel that is original was Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh. The panel was joined by dannii Minogue in series 4, and Osbourne was substituted by Cheryl Cole after her passing in string 5. After show 7, Cowell and Cole made to gauge that the American form of the show whilst Minogue left the show as a result of obligations on Australia's Got Talent. Kelly Rowland, Tulisa Contostavlos and Gary Barlow joined Walsh though Rowland announced she wouldn't go back for string 9 and had been substituted by Nicole Scherzinger. Osbourne later returned in 2013, replacing Contostavlos. Since 2007, Dermot O'Leary, who substituted host Kate Thornton has presented the show. The show is broken up into a series of phases, subsequent to contestants from auditions through to the grand finale. Successful auditionees go right through to"boot camp" and then to"judges' houses", where judges narrow the acts in their category to four or three acts to mentor to get the concert events, where the public vote for their preferred acts following a week live performances by the contestants.
